Richa is a sixth year Ph.D. Biochemistry student at Cornell University graduating in early Spring 2023, where she has studied migration through confined spaces as it relates to cancer metastasis. Richa's B.S. and Ph.D in biochemistry, along with diverse research experiences in tissue engineering, protein biochemistry, and developing microfluidics for cell migration have equipped her with a thorough understanding of cell biology, cancer, and an analytical mindset. She has spent the last years iteratively designing and fabricating microfluidic devices which overcome the limitations of other methods, complemented by in vitro studies within the area of confined migration which were not previously possible. Through these experiences, she has developed top-notch written communication skills as evidenced by her publication record, as well as oral presentation skills through numerous talks at conferences and seminars. Richa will be finishing up a second first-author publication in the coming months, and then pursuing a career in research within drug development for a pharmaceutical company.
