Hannah Morgan (BS, Biomedical Engineering) is a PhD candidate at Case Western Reserve University and a graduate researcher in the Restoring Lower Limb Neural Connection Lab (ReLLiNC), part of the Advanced Platform Technology Center at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VAMC. The ReLLiNC lab focuses on developing neuroprostheses for amputees that interface with nerves in the residual limb to provide sensory feedback while walking. Hannah's project focuses on applying this technology in individuals with diabetes with the goal of improving mobility and quality of life as well as preventing further amputation. In the future this system may be able to prevent limb loss in people with peripheral nerve damage.
