Yen-Tung is a PhD candidate in biomedical engineering at UT Austin. She grew up in Taiwan and completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and her master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at National Hsing Hua University. Additionally, she earned another master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at UT Austin in 2022. Her research focuses on the intersections of statistics, image processing, qualitative studies (e.g., thematic analysis), and machine learning methods to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients. Her current project involves developing algorithms for the automated knitting of custom garments for breast cancer survivors.
