PhD Student
Univeristy of Southern California, California, United States
Cem Yigit Kilic is currently a 2nd year PhD student in Dr. Keyue Shen's Laboratory for Integrative Biosystems Engineering at the University of Southern California Alfred E. Mann Department of Biomedical Engineering. Prior to USC, Cem received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University with an emphasis in molecular, cellular and tissue engineering. At Duke, supervised by Dr. Ravi Bellamkonda, he investigated the combinatorial impact of CAR T-cell therapy and hypothermia on glioblastoma progression and survival. His current research at USC focuses on creating in vitro solid tumor models to investigate how the solid tumor microenvironment drives T-cell dysfunction and use these models to study and optimize CAR T-cell therapies against glioblastoma tumors.
