PhD Candidate
Vanderbilt University
Nashville, Tennessee, United States
Taylor Sheehy is a 5th year PhD Candidate at Vanderbilt University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering under the direction of Dr. John Wilson. Taylor received her B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics from Duquesne University where her research studied the effects of macromolecular crowding on enzyme kinetics. Her dissertation research focuses on engineering therapuetic delivery platforms to modulate the Stimulator of Interferon Genes pathway and improve responses to cancer immunotherapy. She is proficient in polymer chemistry, bioconjugation, cell culture, in vitro and ex vivo characterization assays, and preclinical murine tumor models. Taylor also values scientific communication demonstrated through publications and presentations, and aims to pave way for next generation scientists through mentoring and outreach opportunities.
