Lisa Horowitz MD, PhD. is a Research Scientist in the laboratory of Albert Folch, Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington, Seattle. She received her MD and PhD in Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School. Her PhD in olfaction was in the laboratory of Linda Buck. She completed a postdoc on ion channel modulation by GPCRs with Bertil Hille at the University of Washington and on olfaction with Linda Buck, before turning to work on bioengineering projects applying microfluidics to neuroscience and to cancer with Albert Folch and other collaborators, including Bob Rostomily (UW now at the Houston Methodist Research Insititute) and Taran Gujral (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center).
