Graduate student
Vanderbilt University, United States
Andrew Kjar is a third-year biomedical engineering graduate student at Vanderbilt University, working under the direction of Dr. Ethan Lippmann. His current research focuses include brain organoid culture, single cell RNA sequencing technology, and neurodegeneration. He completed his batchelor's degree at Utah State University in biological engineering, where his published research projects spanned drug delivery to combat cytomegalovirus and microfabrication to improve brain organoid culture. As an undergraduate he was a recipient of the prestigious Goldwater scholarship, and he is currently supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowhip Program.
