I’m Karan, a Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). As a mechanical engineer, I was astonished to know how different tissues (e.g. bone, muscles) adapt to increased mechanical loads on human body and, I became interested in studying collagen protein during my education at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). I’m currently studying the interplay between mechanical forces and fibrillar collagen turnover in cardiac and musculoskeletal tissues.
