I am an accomplished researcher and engineer with a strong track record in bioengineering and microfluidics. With over 4 years of experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University, I have led projects in collaboration with Stanford Medicine and secured NIH R01 grant funding. I also led the collaboration of a high-throughput microfluidic platform for screening novel contraceptive agents with the generous support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. My work includes the development of single-cell biosensing techniques, microfluidic devices, and bioinformatics tools. I have published 3 peer-reviewed journals and presented my research at international conferences.
My educational background includes a current pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering at Penn State University, with a focus on single-cell microbial profiling. I hold a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, where I specialized in digital microfluidic platforms for drug hepatotoxicity assays.
My skill set encompasses cell culture, microfabrication, circuit design, programming in R and Python, computer-aided design (CAD), and deep learning, among others. I thrive in collaborative environments and have a passion for mentoring and guiding the next generation of researchers and engineers.
