Anjul Bansal is a student researcher at the Folch Lab at the University of Washington. She is curious about developing new technologies, specifically organ-on-a-chip, to help doctors deliver more personalized care. The Folch Lab designs microfluidic devices to test multiple cancer drugs on live, intact tumor "cuboids." Anjul uses the bioprinter to precisely place cuboids in a fixed position, as they can easily fall out of place in a platform. This automated way can facilitate the process of cancer drug testing. She presented a poster summarizing her results at the MicroTAS conference in 2022. Anjul is pursuing a BS in bioengineering. Her love of service and research drives her to attend medical school in pursuit of her goals. In her free time, she enjoys singing opera, weightlifting, and playing with her dog.
