Alexander Pessell is currently pursuing a Doctoral candidacy within the Peter Searson Lab at Johns Hopkins University. His principal area of focus lies in the realm of cell and tissue engineering. His research is dedicated to the enhancement of three-dimensional, tissue-engineered models of the blood-brain barrier, aimed at facilitating comprehensive investigations into various perturbations. Notably, his research delves into understanding the effects of diverse factors including temperature variations, occlusive events, and hypertensive conditions on microvascular assemblies akin to cerebral vasculature.
