Cynthia Alcazar, BS is a Research Associate and Animal Surgeon in Dr. Karina Nakayama’s laboratory at Oregon Health and Science University in the department of Biomedical Engineering. Cynthia originates from California where she earned her B.S. in Animal Science, with an emphasis in Companion and Captive Animals, at the University of California, Davis. As a researcher, Cynthia is developing novel murine surgical models and investigating engineered biomaterials for the regenerative treatment of skeletal muscle injuries in lower extremities.
