PostdoctoralScholar
Universite Laval, Canada
Reza Alavi is a postdoctoral fellow in mechanobiology at hospital centre of Laval university (CHU de Québec-Université Laval) in Quebec City, Canada. He got a PhD in materials engineering (Laval University, Canada) and a BSc/ MEng in mechanical engineering (University of Newbrunswick, Canada). In his postdoc, he collaborates in multiple projects concerning 3D in vitro disease models using microfluidic platforms, biophyscial/mechanical characterization of cancer cells/ ECM using different tools, e.g. traction force microscopy (TFM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Quantitative polarization microscopy (QPOL), and drug delivery via polymeric nanovectors for delivery of the photodynamic therapy photosensitizer compound.
