My name is Maharshi Debnath. I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering at University of Massachusetts, Amherst woeking specifically on three areas: (1) Studying the interaction between proteins - nanomaterials and trying to elucidate the related shift in their immunogenicity (2) Design nanomaterial based drug delivery approaches to regulate the immune system (3) Monitoring the efficacy of treatments in real-time using nanotechnology tools and techniques. I am interested working in the interface of chemistry and biology by integrating multiple interdisciplinary fields including drug delivery, nanotechnology, immunoengineering, and in vivo biology to develop a fundamental understanding of the interplay between nano surfaces and immune cells and translating this knowledge into effective drug delivery technologies for addressing clinical challenges in cancer and other diseases.
