Shanay Desai is a junior undergraduate from Jackson, Mississippi studying Neuroscience. He has worked in Dr. Michael King’s Cancer Immunotherapy and Nanotechnology Lab for two years investigating the underlying mechanisms of apoptotic behavior of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cancer, the most aggressive malignant brain tumor. He plans to pursue an MD-PhD upon graduation in May 2025 to become a physician-scientist researching in the realm of cancer immunotherapy and therapeutics.
