Carolyn Marar is a PhD candidate in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Boston University. Her research focuses on the development of miniature implants for wireless microwave neuromodulation. She is also studying the mechanism of nonthermal microwave neural inhibition. She hopes to apply this technology for the treatment of disorders like neuropathic pain and epilepsy.
