I am a first year postdoc studying antigen-specific tolerance in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Hubbell at the University of Chicago. My main research focus is in the development of desensitizing immunotherapies that harness the body's intrinsic tolerance-inducing mechanisms to ameliorate allergic disease. I received my Ph.D. in Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago where I focused on the immunological mechanisms mediating tertiary lymphoid structure formation in response to chronic allergic disease. Currently I work on using drug-delivery techniques to target antigens to the liver's tolerogenic microenvironment to achieve antigen-specific tolerance and ameliorate allergic responses in pre-clinical models of asthma, food allergies and drug hypersensitivities.
