My research journey began with a profound fascination for organic chemistry, particularly in the synthetic chemistry, exploring novel chemical reactions and compounds design. Identifying the transformative potential of organic chemistry in addressing pressing clinical challenges, such as the need of superior antimicrobials, development of advanced drug discovery methods, and strategies to improve patient outcomes, I pursued a Ph.D. in the specialized field of drug delivery and discovery. Across my research trajectory in organic chemistry and drug delivery, I have acquired valuable experiences in organic synthesis while focusing on the development of targeted drug delivery systems specifically designed for cancer therapy. This path has allowed me to merge my expertise in organic chemistry with my postdoctoral research in the area of translational biomedical engineering, specifically immunoengineering in the design and development of novel biomaterial-based scaffolds for immunomodulatory therapies in the form of vaccines and drug delivery systems.
