Grace Bechtel is a second year PhD student at The University of Texas at Austin where she works in Dr. Manuel Rausch's Soft Tissue Biomechanics Laboratory. Her current research focuses on characterizing the mechanics of blood clot to better understand why clots break off in some patients but not in others. Previously, she completed her bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University.
