PhD Student
University of Washington, Institute for protein design
Seattle, United States
Buwei is currently a PhD student at David Baker's lab at University of Washington. His research focus is developing and applying protein design tools to create fully de novo binders as therapeutics or tools for biomedical research. Buwei's research area broadly include antagonists development for cytokine storm, development of novel antibiotics and design of protein degraders. Prior to joining UW, he got his bachelor degree in Pharmay from Zhejiang University followed by a master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where he mainly worked on drug delivery with biomaterials.
