David Kimmey is an engineer who completed a post-baccelaureate fellowship at Rice360 Institute for Global Health Technologies. His two year fellowship was
focused on the development of a low-cost warming mattress to address newborn hyopthermia in low-resource settings. As apart of the larger NEST360 program to reduce newborn mortality he collaborated with partners in Malawi, Nigeria, and California to manage product development, testing, and clinical studies. David is an experienced engineer with a proven ability in testing, design, and research demonstrated by a track record of successful projects in the medical device industry, advanced manufacturing, and consumer products. His competency with technical skills is demonstrated by research and testing in both academic and industry settings.
