Laila Rad is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan. She is working in the laboratory of Professor Lonnie Shea on creating biomaterial-based diagnostics and therapeutics for autoimmune and food allergic diseases. Prior to her graduate studies, Laila obtained her B.S. in Bioengineering at University of California, Los Angeles.
