Zheyu (Ruby) Jin is a third year engineering PhD student at the University of Washington. Before joining the Nance lab, she received her BS and MEng in chemical engineering from Cornell University. Her current research focuses on developing a therapeutic screening pipeline to evaluate cellular responses and nanoparticle-mediated biologics delivery to the brain with modeled injury processes. She utilizes the organotypic brain slice culture from various animal models to evaluate microenvironmental responses to individual and combinatorial therapeutic strategies. Her research goal is to provide insights into neuroprotective potentials of therapeutics for preterm brain injury with a screening platform of high clinical translatability.
