Max Ney is a 5th-year PhD Candidate in the lab of Ashutosh Chilkoti in Duke University's Department of Biomedical Engineering. His research focusses on polypeptide materials that incorporate both intrinsically disordered and ordered domains. He is particularly interested in creating materials that are pH-sensitive and may have applications in acidic biological environments. He graduated with a BSc in Materials Science and Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019 and is originally from Malibu, California.
