Dr. Dafu Wang is a postdoctoral associate from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. Dr. Wang's current research is focusing on understanding how the mechanical microenvironment regulates vascular growth and cell-material mechanical interactions that guide vascular formation. Dr. Wang's study performs live-cell time-lapse analysis in a 3D space of forces and tissue structures. His study uses in vitro hydrogel platforms and, through the development of new ones, to study how various aspects of the surrounding mechanical microenvironment regulate vascular assembly and function.
