Armita Najmi received her B.Sc. in the double major of aerospace engineering and mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran). She received her M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology. After her M.Sc., she worked in the research areas of microfluidics (design and numerical simulation of droplet production devices suitable for on-chip droplet-based digital polymerase chain reaction) and image processing (analyzing and evaluating off-line handwritings in patients with Parkinson's disease using pictorial features). Since January 2023 she has joined Carnegie Mellon University as a Ph.D. candidate. Her Ph.D. research project is in the field of placental blood flow.
