Stacey Schutte, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Schutte has expertise in tissue engineering and mechanobiology. Her current research focuses on the uterine myometrium, investigating the role of uterine contractions on leiomyoma growth and on pregnancy promoting elastin synthesis in the uterus. Additionally her laboratory is investigating innervation in skin after grafting or during wound healing.
