Dr. Ali Khalilimeybodi, an AHA Postdoctoral Fellow at UC San Diego's Laboratory for Computational Cellular Mechanobiology, specializes in computational systems biology with emphasis on cardiomyopathy, heart failure, exercise-induced muscle remodeling, and mechanotransduction pathways. Holding a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran, his doctoral work centered on chemo-mechanical modeling of cardiac muscle growth and remodeling. Prior to his position at UCSD, Dr. Khalilimeybodi contributed as a Research Associate at the University of Virginia's Cardiac Systems Biology lab, further solidifying his expertise in cardiac systems biology, mathematical modeling of cell signaling networks, and systems medicine. His career goal is to leverage multiscale models to fill knowledge gaps, streamline experimental design, and discover novel drug targets for complex cardiac and muscle diseases.
