Mangalam Sahai (Graduate Student. Carnegie Mellon University; ) is a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University . He is advised by Dr.Jonathan Cagan and Dr.Philip R Leduc. He has received his Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and Integrated Bachelors in Chemical Engineering along with Masters in Technology Management from NMIMS University in Mumbai. He was awarded Biomedical Engineering Department Head's fellowship from Carnegie Mellon University during his Masters. He has worked as a Project Manager in Drug Development. During his time in industry, he has worked on many dossier filing to Bfarm like Anti-hypertensive drugs, Anticonvulsant drugs, Proton Pump inhibitors(PPIs), Xa inhibitors, DPP4 & PDE4 inhibitors, Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors, VEGF inhibitors, signal transduction inhibitors, Beta-blockers, Direct Thrombin inhibitors, and many more product segments. He also has worked in Pharmaceutical marketing, where he successfully performed a Pre-launch assessment of New Gynaec products in market for Disease Profiles-Uterine Fibroids and UTI. The assessment was based on primary dataset collected by him after interviewing 100 gynecologists and 20 pharmaceutical distributors in Mumbai City across a period of 4 months. He is passionate about discussing disease diagnosis and drug development, loves playing squash, table tennis, chess and last but not the least cooking Indian cuisine.
