Yingye 'Cheri' Fang, Ph.D., Acting Instructor/Senior Scientist of the Bioengineering Department at the University of Washington. I am a skilled biomedical scientist trained in quantitative protein biomarker analyses with a focus on multi-color quantitative flow cytometry. I am knowledgeable about a range of protein assays, including flow cytometric co-immunoprecipitation, ELISA, western blot, SPR, and mass cytometry (CyTOF). I am experienced with in-vitro 2D/3D cell culture and ex-vivo human/mouse blood and tissue sample processing. My three main research topics are (1) innovating quantitative blood biopsy for non-invasively studying vascular disorders, (2) identifying molecular connections between obesity and vascular dysfunction, and (3) characterizing the altered receptor trafficking mechanisms of genetically induced oxytocin resistance.
