Kevin Jiang is a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Paul Yager's group at the University of Washington, Seattle. His research focuses on developing point-of-care diagnostic tools for detecting infectious diseases in low-resource communities and home environments, with an emphasis on designing low-cost, accessible, and easy-to-operate platforms.
Kevin received his B.S. in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. Prior to entering his PhD program, he worked as an R&D Engineer in the Bay Area at Cepheid, a medical device company, and Boehringer Ingelheim, a pharmaceutical CDMO. Outside of WRF and research, Kevin works as a board member of Morning Sign Out, a student-led organization that focuses on making complex health and scientific information accessible for the greater public.
