The presenting author is Chae Yun Bae Ph.D in Noul Co., Ltd. The title of the presenting topic is Quantitative Analysis of Solution-Free Blood Cell Staining by the Hydrogel Stamping Methods. We introduced the miLab, a fully automated diagnostic platform capable of handling sample preparation, digital microscopy, and AI analysis in a stand-alone manner. It uses a single-use cartridge that enables the preparation of blood films for diagnosis such as malaria. We demonstrated that staining and destaining of smeared blood cells using hydrogel stamps with Romanowsky dyes are quantifiable to understand the hydrogel stamping-based staining application instead of solution-based staining procedure. Values of H gave us reasonable estimation, but precise quantification of the transfer needed more quantitative methods with mathematical models. To predict the actual amounts of dyes to and from hydrogel stamps, we will need to employ representative models of isotherms (i.e., Langmuir or Freundlich isotherms) and kinetics (pseudo or second-order kinetics) models.
