Erika Cyphert, Ph.D. is an NIH NRSA F32 postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University/University of California San Francisco in Dr. Christopher Hernandez's laboratory. Dr. Cyphert received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on biomaterials and drug delivery at Case Western Reserve University in 2020 (PI: Horst von Recum, Ph.D.). She has spent time as a visiting researcher at the Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) and Tokyo Women's Medical University (Japan) through the Fulbright Program and Whitaker Foundation. Her current work focuses on studying associations between the gut microbiome and bone health. She is an incoming Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at the University of California San Diego (July 2024).
