Rice University
Houston, Texas, United States
My name is Elizabeth Kelley, I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Dr. Omid Veiseh's lab at Rice University in Houston, Texas in the Bioengineering Department. After receiving my B.S. in Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2019, I joined the biotechnology industry in Cambridge, Massachusetts where I worked at Sigilon Therapeutics. At Sigilon Therapeutics, I focused on molecular biology and cell engineering for the Rare Disease team until I relocated to Houston, Texas to join the Veiseh Lab at Rice University. At Rice University, I work on cell engineering and biomaterials for the wound healing project, generating cytokine-secreting, hydrogel-based wound healing patches for treating various types of wounds.
