Paige Woods is a 3rd year PhD candidate at Boston University in the Biomedical Engineering Department. She is a member of the Glial Engineering Lab, lead by Dr. Timothy O'Shea, where she focuses her work on glial drug delivery with a specific interest in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, and she was recenlty awarded the BUnano Cross Disciplinary Fellowship to fund this project. Paige is passionate about biomaterials for translational research in the CNS, and aims to work on CNS therapuetic delivery in industry post-graduation. Paige completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Conncecticut, graduating in 2019, and continued research at the UConn Health Center with Dr. Tannin Schmidt for two years after graduation.
