Sophie R. Cook is a senior graduate student in the Pompano Lab at the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on developing novel 3D-printed multi-organs-on-chips and building user-friendly pumps to study communication with the lymph node in the context of vaccination and neuroimmunity. Sophie enjoys building unique chips and pumps with her hands as well as coming up with creative solutions to complex issues.
