Ms. Charul Singh is a PhD candidate pursuing her doctoral studies in biomedical engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. She is training in pulmonary physiology and performing research linking morphology of lung injury with impairment of pulmonary gas exchange in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Prior to starting her PhD, Charul completed her BS and M.Eng. in biomedical engineering at Arizona State University and Cornell University respectively. Her past projects include building a tissue-based ophthalmic drug delivery device for post-surgical cataract patients and simplifying the Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty surgical procedure. She also has 3 years of industry experience working as a process development engineer at Applied Medical and quality engineer at Zimmer Biomet.
