Natalie Mueller, BS is a biomedical engineering PhD candidate at Case Western Reserve University and the Advanced Platform Technology Center at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. In 2021, she was awarded the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship from the Department of Defense. Her current research project involves utilizing biomaterials and drug delivery to improve integration and longevity of neural interfaces in the brain. Natalie received her Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech University, where she worked on several research projects including developing oxidative stress sensors and studying epilepsy patterns in animal models.
