After successfully completing her GCE A levels in the UK Curriculum, Aditi Shirke earned her Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering (BME) from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), specializing in Biomaterials. Currently, Aditi is pursuing her PhD in BME at CWRU under the guidance of Dr. James P. Basilion. Her research journey has encompassed various facets of prostate cancer, spanning diagnostics, imaging, and treatment development. Presently, she dedicates her expertise to Breast Cancer imaging and therapeutic advancements.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Aditi Shirke holds the position of President within the CWRU Chapter of the Society For Biomaterials (SFB). The chapter is preparing to host an upcoming "Midwest Biomaterials Conference" on behalf of the SFB Organization at CWRU on November 11th, 2023.
Beyond her academic and leadership roles, Aditi is classically trained in both the Piano and the Flute and enjoys playing music when she can. Her other interests extend to creative activities such as crocheting and knitting, as well as indulging in her passion for reading, watching movies, and experimenting with culinary delights in the kitchen.
Her ambition is to contribute to the fight against cancer and find a solution to better health for all.
