Mohammad Aminul Islam received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2019. Before joining University at Buffalo, The State University of New York as a Postdoctoral Associate in Dr. Ford Versypt’s lab in 2021, he worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Oklahoma State University in the same group from 2019. His current research activities include pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) modeling of bacterial metabolite in the gut-bone axis on osteoimmunology, agent-based modeling for lung fibrosis mechanisms in response to COVID-19, and impacts of patient differences on COVID-19 lung fibrosis outcomes.
