Ana Hernandez Reynoso, PhD is a research scientist at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Pancrazio and Cogan laboratories. She earned a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. She earned a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering, respectively, from Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara in Mexico. Her research focuses on the improvement of stimulating and recording neural interfaces using antioxidant coatings that can improve the neuroinflammatory response to implantable microelectrode arrays. In addition, she is interested in the development of translational bioelectronic medicines for novel therapeutic approaches targeting the nervous system. She is committed to the continuous, rigorous, and responsible conduct of science for the advancement of the neural engineering field and teaching philosophy centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
