Josef, currently in his fourth year as a Ph.D. student at the University of Washington's Molecular Engineering Department, is a researcher in the Barry Lutz Lab within Bioengineering. Driven by a commitment to enhancing global health outcomes, Josef is at the forefront of developing innovative point-of-care diagnostics. With a specialized emphasis on nucleic acid assay development and microfluidics, Josef's research focuses on centrifugal microfluidics and LAMP assay development, tailored specifically for enhanced HIV viral load monitoring.
