PhD Student
Duke University
My name is Luca Menozzi and I am a third-year PhD student in the department of biomedical engineering at Duke university. I earned a B.S. in biomedical engineering from the joint UNC Chapel Hill/NCSU BME department, and a B.A. in mathematics from UNC Chapel Hill in 2021. My research is focused on improving both photoacoustic and ultrasound imaging technologies, in terms of image quality, cost, speed, and ease-of-use. I also apply these technologies to life science and biomedical applications, such as the study of transparency in glassfrogs, the effects of certain chemical exposure on pregnancy, and the efficacy of novel cancer therapies.
