Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Rice University
My name is Roy Lycke, a postdoctoral research fellow with the Neuroengineering Initiative at Rice University. My research focuses on developing clinically translatable neural stimulation techniques via biocompatible neural electrodes. Through the application of ultraflexible implant designs, low-amplitude stimulation currents, and current steering techniques, I develop methods to deliver chronically stable, spatially precise, high-fidelity neurostimulation that aims to treat a broad range of neurological disorders and deepen our understanding of how sensory processing and neurocommunication with the brain works.
