Graduate Student
Vanderbilt University
My name is Abigail Fabiano, and I am a PhD student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow in Dr. Michael King's lab at Vanderbilt University studying Biomedical Engineering, while my BS degree was granted from Rutgers University in Chemical Engineering. My current research focuses on cancer cell mechanotransduction, studying how cancer cells circulating in the body are able to survive harsh physiological forces to successfully metastasize. Being a first generation college student, I am eager to attain a job in the research industry upon completion of my PhD, and would like to continue to find ways to share my stories and help others like myself understand what they need to be successful to complete their college degree.
