Obinna Fidelis is a doctoral graduate student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research focuses on developing reliable polyester suture-based artificial tendons for human and veterinary use. The broad scope of the study covers mechanical characterization of the tendon
and suture anchors for attaching the tendons in vivo, and rabbit gait biomechanics to evaluate the effectiveness of the artificial tendon for restoring normal gait in a rabbit model.
