Emily Fenton (MS, Biomedical Engineering) BS Engineering, concentration in Biomedical Engineering, 2022, East Carolina University (ECU). Emily is currently a second year graduate student in the Biomedical Engineering program at ECU, working on her thesis exploring the effects of Binaural Beats on the brain’s Functional Connectivity. During her undergraduate career, she worked with Orthotics and Prosthetics East, a local business, to research and test various donning methods for residual limb shrinkers. Emily is an active member of ECU’s BMES, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Helping Hand Project (HHP) chapters. After finishing her masters degree, she aspires to work in research and development with medical devices, prosthetics and/or biomechanics.
