Department of Biomedical Engineering, Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research Center, Oregon Health and Science University
Mary Kylene Lowrey B.S. is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate with Dr. Carolyn Schutt Ibsen in the Biomedical Engineering Department and Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research (CEDAR) center at Oregon Health and Science University where she works on bioprinting ultrasound-responsive cancer models. She obtained her B.S. in Nanosystems Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2019, where she worked as an undergraduate researching nanoparticle fabrication and drug delivery. Additionally, she completed two REUs (research experience for undergraduates) where she worked on 3D bioprinting nanoparticle-embedded polymers at the University of New Orleans and synthesizing core-shell nanoparticles for catalysis at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in Lyon, France
