Dr. Audi received his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering (BME) from Marquette University in 1994. He joined Marquette's Biomedical Engineering (BME) department as an Assistant Professor in 2002 and was promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in 2008 and to Professor in 2016. In 2019, he became the Director of Graduate Studies for the BME Department. Dr. Audi’s research focuses on developing experimental-computational approaches for understanding key biochemical factors involved in the progression of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a crippling lung disorder with high morbidity/mortality rates. The long-term goal of his research is to develop clinical tools for early detection of ARDS and novel therapies for ARDS.
